INCOMING WATER TREATMENT

Flocculation.png

Flocculation / Sedimentation

Flocculation is a process wherein colloids come out of suspension in the form of floc, either spontaneously or due to the addition of a clarifying agent.

Sedimentation is when particles suspended in the fluid, such as dust and pollen or solutions of single molecules like proteins and peptides, settle out of the fluid and come to rest against a barrier.

Degassing.png

Degassing & Oxidation

Degassing methods are used to remove the two gases, oxygen, and carbon dioxide, from the water or to reduce them to below the respective required residual concentrations.

Oxidation is when iron combines with oxygen to form iron oxide or rust and can be removed by means of sedimentation.

TEKLEEN

Self Cleaning Filters

TEKLEEN® water filters are the industry’s highest quality automatic, self-cleaning water filters and strainers, specialising in providing industrial water filters.

The TEKLEEN® filter is self-cleaning and operates on line pressure alone, eliminating the need for an external power source. As water passes through the water filter, the dirt particles are collected on the screen. This causes a drop in water pressure. When the pressure drop reaches a pre-set level, the cleaning cycle is initiated. The Vacuum Screen Cleaner aggressively suctions the dirt from the inside of the screen and flushes it out the drain.

WATER PURIFICATION

Multi Media Filter

Multimedia filtration refers to a pressure filter vessel which utilises three or more different media as the filtration media. This layering of the filtration bed encourages the very largest contaminants to become trapped in the first layer of the filter, with smaller particulates sifting farther down into the lower layers. Trapping contaminants in this manner allows for more efficient turbidity removal and for longer run times between backwash cycles. A multi media filter can remove particles down to 10-25 microns.

Activated Carbon Filter

Activated carbon filtration is one of many processes commonly used in water treatment. They are generally employed in the process of removing specific organic and inorganic substances from the water, including chloride, some heavy metals, tannins, unwanted water disinfection by-products, toxins created by algae, and extracting free chlorine from water, thereby making the water suitable use in manufacturing processes.

Ion Exchanger

Ion exchange is a water treatment process commonly used for water softening or demineralization, but it also is used to remove other substances from the water in processes such as dealkalization, deionization, and disinfection. Ion exchange resins will provide you a very low conductivity level below 0.1 μS/cm.

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration uses hollow fibers of membrane material and the feed water flows either inside the shell (Outside-in), or in the lumen of the fibers (Inside-out). Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane.

Outside-In process performs uniform flow distribution wherein feed water enters outside surface of the membrane to inside surface in which the filtrate water is collected.

Inside-Out process takes place wherein the fluid flows through the center of the hollow fiber and permeate passes through the membrane fiber wall to the outside of the membrane fiber wall under very low pressure.

UF is ideal for the removal of colloids, proteins, bacteria, pyrogens, and macromolecules larger than the membrane pore size from water.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis is a water purification methodology that removes ions, molecules and other larger particles from drinking water using a semipermeable membrane. It is the process of forcing a solvent to a region of low soluble concentration from high solute concentration region through a semipermeable membrane by applying pressure.

TORIC OXIDE

Superior Water Disinfection Solution

Picture1.png

Toric Oxide is a revolutionary, advanced delivery system to generate a highly pure aqueous chlorine dioxide solution;

Toric Oxide has removed all known drawbacks, side-effects and by-products known from classical chlorine dioxide generation concepts;

Toric Oxide shapes an ideal environment in which the chlorine dioxide molecule is generated in its most optimised form;

Advanced delivery system formulated at 3000 ppm which generates chlorine dioxide molecules in an aqueous solution.

Generates 5 available electrons from the chlorine dioxide molecule

Where classical chlorine dioxide stops, Toric Oxide continues

Does not react with water to form hypochlorous acid (no “free chlorine”)

Does not contain chlorine, chloride or chlorate

Does not react with ammonia, ammonium or most organic compounds

Does not chlorinate organic materials

(decreases THM’s and HAA’s)

Higher action against all water born Micro Organisms and spore forming bacteria

(Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoan, Fungi and Sediment)

No resistance building of Micro Organisms

Destroys algae related taste and odour compounds

Steady bacterial, efficacy, action within a broad pH bandwidth (4-10)

WASTE WATER TREATMENT

Membrane Bioreactor

Membrane bioreactors for wastewater treatment is a combination of a suspended growth biological treatment method, usually activated sludge, with membrane filtration equipment, typically low-pressure microfiltration (MF) or ultrafiltration (UF) membranes. The membranes are used to perform the critical solid-liquid separation function. In activated sludge facilities, this is traditionally accomplished using secondary and tertiary clarifiers along with tertiary filtration.

Benefits:

Standard modular system for easy upgrading

Containerised system for plug & play approach

Skid mounted system for upgrading and replacement

Moving Bed Bioreactor

MBBR is a highly effective biological treatment process based on biofilm principle. Microorganisms grow on the surface of  plastic carriers within the aeration and anoxic tanks. As microorganisms consume organic material the plastic carriers provides increased surface area for the biological microorganisms to attach and grow. The increased surface area reduces the footprint of the tanks required to treat the wastewater.

Benefits:

Biological conversion & seperation optimised separately

Simple operation, tolerates variations & disturbances

No sludge bulking problems

Anaerobic Reactor

Anaerobic digestion is the process by which organic matter such as animal or food waste is broken down to produce biogas and biofertiliser. This process happens in the absence of oxygen in a sealed, oxygen-free tank called an anaerobic digester. Highly efficient and cost effective biological treatment to reduce pollution & recover energy with a minimum environmental impact.

Benefits:

Low energy consumption & biogas production

Low sludge production (0.5kgTSS/kgCODrem)

Compact design and can face shutdowns
